Schädelhirntrauma und Thoraxtrauma in Notfall- und Intensivmedizin
Traumatische Hirnverletzungen und Thoraxtraumata zählen zu den komplexesten und zeitkritischsten Notfällen in der Kleintiermedizin. Rahel Jud, DECVAA, Yaiza Herrero, DACVECC und Team, vermitteln praxisnah die Ersteinschätzung und Stabilisation von Patienten mit Traumatic Brain Injury sowie die akute Versorgung von Thoraxtraumata, mit besonderem Fokus auf der Stabilisation eines Pneumothorax. Anhand klinischer Fallbeispiele werden Monitoring, analgetisch-anästhesiologische Aspekte sowie Entscheidungsfindung im Notfall- und Intensivsetting diskutiert. Das Seminar richtet sich an Tierärzt:innen, die Sicherheit im Management schwerer Traumapatienten gewinnen möchten.

Traumatic brain injury and thoracic trauma represent some of the most complex and time-critical emergencies in small animal practice. Rahel Jud, DECVAA, Yaiza Herrero, DACVECC, and team, provide a practical approach to the assessment and stabilization of patients with traumatic brain injury, as well as the acute management of thoracic trauma, with a particular focus on stabilizing pneumothorax. Through clinical case discussions, key aspects of monitoring, analgesic and anesthetic considerations, and decision-making in emergency and intensive care settings are explored.

Objectifs d'apprentissage

Die Teilnehmenden erkennen Thoraxtraumata mit Pneumothorax und können geeignete Maßnahmen zur Stabilisation einleiten, einschließlich Indikationsstellung für Thorakozentese, Drainage, Monitoring und Entscheidung zur weiterführenden Therapie oder Überweisu
Die Teilnehmenden können Patienten mit Traumatic Brain Injury im Notfall- und Intensivsetting strukturiert einschätzen und initial stabilisieren, einschließlich neurologischer Beurteilung, Priorisierung lebensrettender Maßnahmen und adäquatem Monitoring.
